Ella's first breath

Ashley and I woke up this morning, september 21 at 4:15 to head to the hospital. It was when I called the hospital that they told us to plan on coming down later because the birthing center was full. So it was around 7am when we got the call back from the nurse, saying to head on down to be induced. Ashley and I said good bye to the camper and Corbin and headed down the hill. We arrived sometime around 8:15ish and settled into our delivery room. The inducing process was kind of crazy. They began using the 2 setting and increased the dosage by 2 every 30min. When things were all said and done, Ella took her mom all the way up to 16. Ashley went to 4cm really quick and continued on to 9cm. After 1.5 hours of some serious pushing, Ella finally came into the world. I got to cut the umbilical cord and than the scary part began. Ella forgot to take a breath when she came out of mom. The hospital called code pink and our room soon began to fill with medical professionals. After several hours and many prayers our little miracle, Ella took a breath and went from being white to pink. Thank you god for watching over her and our new family. Ash and Ella both had a long but most amazing day. We love you Ella and thank god for you, such a beautiful baby. We love you!
